Kenzie holzinger-SMith

Kenzie Holzinger-Smith is a graduate of Fontbonne University, where she obtained her Master in Art (MA) and Masters in Fine Art (MFA). She is also a graduate of Thomas Edison State University (TESU), where she obtained a 4.0 BA in Art, and of Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville (SIUE) with a BFA focused in drawing. Her primary focus is in Painting and Drawing. Kenz is a dancer, which influences her love of depicting the human figure and rendering ideas of movement amongst these topics. Dance is a powerful catalyst in Kenz’s work and often aids in her concepts. She believes that there is freedom and balance in dance, the same qualities she finds in art.

Kenz is a Professor of Fine art at Saint Louis Community College and Lewis and Clark. She also works at SIUE for their outreach program as a painting instructor, and The Edwardsville Arts Center (The EAC) as a painting and drawing instructor. Kenz lives in the Saint Louis area, and in her spare time teaches dance and volunteers with local theatre as a choreographer and performer.
